While I love silver eyeshadow, I do find that the super pigmented versions may not be as flattering or as versatile as I'd like. I've found that this NARS eye shadow, Night Life from the Holiday 2008 collection, perfectly balances everything I want in a silver shadow. It has great pigment, but isn't too heavy. It builds easily so I can control the look I want. It has great shimmer, which I love. It is also lighter than many silvers, which is more flattering to my pale skin.
I've found myself reaching for this shadow over and over, whether I'm going out, having a Christmas party at my own home (like last night) or even just going to work! This is a work horse shadow, surprising for a silver shimmer.

It looks kind of chunky on the glitter... but you mentioned you can wear it to work so maybe it's just me?

Isn't it great when you find one of those "perfect" shadows? I'm a gold/copper gal myself and when I find one that goes on nicely it's like finding buried treasure. :)
Wow!! Ya know I don't think I've ever found a silver shadow that I really like. I like the swatch, and from your description I may just have to try this one. Bah Nars is so expensive and I'm so broke!! lol
