Must Have Products: IT Cosmetics

Must have makeup from IT Cosmetics
IT Cosmetics was just named a finalist for the 2013 CEW Beauty Awards, they're up for Indie Beauty!

This is a brand that somewhat randomly popped up on to my radar about 18 months ago, and while they aren't exactly flashy, they have a lot of basic products that really just work really well! Some of their products do incorporate more "advanced" technology (they have a multiple use product and a lip stick that both change color once applied), though I've found that their more basic products are just amongst the best I've used.

1. Bye Bye Under Eye: This is one of my go-to under eye concealers! It's super pigmented, and while $24 sounds like a lot for concealer, just know that it lasts forever. Really, forever... If you buy it over on QVC for $5 more you can get it with a concealer brush. I'm definitely getting that one next! I currently wear "neutral medium", but it is a tad too dark, I'll be getting light when I repurchase. If I ever run out.

2. Hello Light Powder Illuminizer: This is a lightly golden illuminator and it just catches the light perfectly, without looking too shimmery or emphasizing any "imperfections" (**cough cough**). I can't believe I haven't reviewed it yet, I use it a few times a week. Definitely a great buy! (Also, for a few bucks more over on QVC you can get the Radiance Brush too. You need that.)

3. Vitality Lip Flush Butter: Another product I have to review. There are 3, I have them all and can't figure out which is my favorite. They have color, but it is a bit more translucent than a lipstick while being more pigmented than the other lip butters out there right now. All 3 shades are very universal, you pretty much can't go wrong.

4. Brow Power: This is my new favorite brow product! It easily displaced the Anastasia I was using before. This comes in a twist pencil, so there's no sharpening, it's super easy to just quickly pencil in my brows and then run the brush end over my brows. It sticks around all day and is enough color without being "too much". It seems to only come in 1 universal shade, and it works really well for my brown brows, I'm not sure about other shades.

5. Brushes: OMG, the brushes. I want them all (except I want to take the 2 headed ones and make them all singles. How does one store those except laying down??) the bristles are soft, I love the shapes and sizes, and they seem pick up just the right amount of product.

9 Urban Decay Must Have Products

Urban Decay is definitely one of my favorite brands, and without me even realizing it, they've definitely been taking over my "normal" go-to makeup products! I tried to keep this list under 5 products. You can see that I was highly unsuccessful at that!

1. 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil: I have a a bit of an eyeliner issue, I easily have over 100 liners. That's a lot. This is my liner of choice for a good smudgy smoky eye, it smudges and stays intense, then sets to last all day.

2. Good Karma Optical Blur Foundation Brush (my Good Karma Optical Blur Foundation Brush review): Yeah, pretty much this brush is amazing. I use this and my Beauty Blender brush for foundation.

3. Urban Decay Pore Perfecting Primer (my Urban Decay Pore Perfecting Primer review): Makes all of my uneven skin no longer noticeable.

4. Naked Skin Foundation (my Naked Skin Foundation review): Very lightweight and blendable, it makes you look like you have perfect skin with nothing on it. Love that!

5. Ammo Shadow Box: I've had this for a while and really need to take pictures! I love the combination of "fun" and more basic shadows in this palette. It's also frequently on sale!

6. Urban Decay Naked2 (my Urban Decay Naked2 review): I reach for this eye shadow palette constantly. It's a tremendous deal for $50 or so.

7. Urban Decay Naked Basics (my Urban Decay Naked Basics review and 18 amazing Urban Decay Naked Basics tutorials): The basic matte shades that we all use up first.

8. Naked Skin Beauty Balm: Very lightweight, it is even less noticeable than the Naked Foundation and it stil makes things less noticeable. it isn't quite the perfect look of the foundation, but definitely evens things out.

9. Super Saturated Lip Gloss: I love these pencils! Super saturated, lasts forever and easy to apply. I meant to pick up Big Bang at Sephora yesterday, but forgot. (Oh no! An excuse to go back!) It's perfect for spring!

5 Must Have Products: My Favorite CoverGirl Products

15 Minute Beauty's Favorite Items from CoverGirl
Recently, CoverGirl shared a picture of Pat McGrath's Favorite CoverGirl Items, and I was loving it! The picture showed some of my favorites, and it really got me thinking about my favorite items from some of my favorite brands. So, I thought I'd start sharing! So, every 1-2 weeks I'll start sharing some of my favorite items from different brands, high end to low end.

Obviously, I had to start with CoverGirl! I didn't include the lippie pencil that Pat did (though, I do really love it), only because I decided to showcase items that while CoverGirl has sent them to me in the past, I've repurchased these items for myself over and over.

1. Clump Crusher Mascara: Yes, I really did put on 30 coats of that stuff, without a clump in sight! These days I'm much more likely to be layering it with another mascara (great tip for tons of volume and length, I layer every day), but the Clump Crusher is always there. Always.

2. Vivid Impact Liners: The Queen line can be hard to find depending on where you live (I have a much easier time finding it here in the Ann Arbor area than I ever did when I lived in the OC), but it is well worth the search! My favorite item is the Vivid Impact Liners, which come in some very pretty colors, are super easy to apply and last all day. They definitely rival much higher priced liners.

3. Perfect Point Plus Eye Liner: I don't have my own review of these liners, though you've probably noticed they pop up in my looks quite often. They're a little harder than the Vivid Impact liners and are automatic, which I love. My basic black and brown liners are both Perfect Point Plus and I use them pretty much every day.

4. TruBlend Foundation: When I recently went to a much darker hair color, suddenly the little bit of "give" I had in my foundation match was... gone. I high tailed it to ULTA and spent about an hour swatching different foundations on my skin. High ends, low ends... only TruBlend worked! It was what I was mostly using at home, but 1 shade lighter. I'm 410.

5. TruBlend Pressed Powder: I'm a pressed powder girl, and this one is the one that looks the least "powdery" on my skin once applied.
