So, yes, I've been kind of obsessing over the new Burt's Bees BB Cream and lipsticks. But, there's a reason for it! Both of these products are amazing, and they outperform many higher priced items that I use. When I'm reaching for a drugstore lipstick over a higher priced luxe version (of nearly identical colors), then that drugstore lippie must be something special. And it really is.

Finally, this is a drugstore BB Cream I can recommend. After my last drugstore BB Cream was discontinued last year, I tried a lot of others, but didn't like any of them enough to recommend them. They were all kind of... meh. Not really worth featuring on the blog. This BB Cream has light to medium coverage, it blends beautifully and looks great all day long. That's exactly what I look for in a summer BB Cream!

I thought I'd share what my Saturday looked like with Burt's Bees. Yes, I was running from event to event, and changing up my lipstick was all I did to change up my look. It was all that I needed to do!

My basic look on Saturday was the BB Cream in light, a little blush, a light taupe liner with black eye liner smudged into the lashes, and lots of mascara (per usual). All that I changed throughout the day was my lipstick!

Blush Basin is my favorite "nude" lipstick from Burt's Bees. It's a tad darker than my normal nude-pink lipstick, which actually means that it looks better in selfies with my little girls. Yes, it's a lipstick for hanging out with my family, running errands and going to work, but my favorite thing is how great it looks in family selfies! On Saturday morning I was hanging out at home with my 18 month old while the 5 year old went to ballet class with daddy.

I love a hot pink lippie, I frequently break them out for trips to the grocery store, meetings at work, you name it. This color is a bit deeper and not quite as shocking as most of my other hot pinks, which makes it more wearable. I swapped to the hot pink for a 5 year old birthday party at the Ann Arbor Hands On Museum (which is great for kids if you're in the area).

Finally, a red lippie for date night with my husband! Ok, maybe not (I wish!). We ordered pizza in with the kids and watched television later. But I still wore the red lipstick.
