I'm a bit sunscreen obsessed, so I had to participate in this week's Top 10 Tuesday! I've previously shared 9 Full Spectrum Sunscreens and 7 Lippies That Offer Full UV Spectrum Coverage!, though you can find a lot more sunscreen tips and some of my favorite over on my sunscreen Pinterest board, Sun Savvy. I'm of the opinion that we should all be wearing sunscreen every day, and when you're out in the sun you should reapply every 2 hours (here's How to Reapply Sunscreen (While Wearing Makeup)).
Today I thought I'd share the sunscreens that are around my house and that we really use in my family. They're all at least SPF 30 and off Full UV Spectrum coverage. Note that there are other full spectrum sunscreens out there, but these ones seem to feel lighter weight and aren't greasy feeling, so we opt for these ones. And my list is only 7 long, because that's what is here in my house.

ReplyDeleteI bought a La Roche Posay one a few years ago. It was great since it was more advanced. I always buy new sunscreens each summer and forgot about that one.
ReplyDeleteI love AVEENO; it's one of the only ones that doesn't irritate my skin which a lot of sunscreens do. I'm going to look for that Neutrogena Facial one too.

ReplyDeleteLove the ingredient breakdown, but have you also vetted the photostability of the UVA blockers? Right now I only use Neutrogena products with Helioplex stabilizers, but I'd love to branch out if the others are also photostable. ReplyDeleteActually, this is something that can't be reasoned out, each product must be tested. Because many of the ingredients in each product affect stability (in a good or bad way) and that effect depends upon concentration frequently, you can't figure it out based upon an ingredient list. Even those that "shouldn't" work together, for example there's some rule on skin care forums that OctiNOxate doesn't stay stable with certain other sunscreens. But that's not the case depending upon other stabilizing ingredients. So, the chemistry doesn't matter, you really need to be a brand set up to test it, so we have to trust what the brands say about it.
