Too Faced Melted Metal Metallic Lipstick Review

You may have read my Too Faced Melted Lipstick review. I wanted to love the products, but it wasn't a great fit for my lips (too drying) and the matte was difficult for me. It was a great idea in theory, but for me they were best used as lip stains. Not exactly what Too Faced had in mind.

A while ago they sent me their new Melted Metal Lipsticks, and I admit that I was rearranging my office, I was busy at work, tons of things were going on and I didn't get to them very quickly.

Oh, how I was missing out!

Like the first Melted Lipsticks, there's a good array of shades, there will definitely be one or two that work with your coloring easily. For me, all but the darkest purple work great! The are a creamy liquid lipstick, not very sticky. Definitely thicker than a gloss. They are well pigmented, and with one or two swipes the application is done! I love that these are not matte, instead they are shiny. The bit of shimmer helps quite a bit as well. I'm much better off with the metallic versions than the regular ones.

They apply smoothly and last for hours, even if I'm sipping coffee all morning! Worth checking out!

  1. Hi there,

Can you share what color line you use for your hair? Is it Aveda? very pretty!

  2. I think it's Goldwell actually. My salon isn't an Aveda salon (I go to Salon Luminosity in Saline Michigan, Heather is my stylist/colorist). I do root touchups every 3-4 weeks at home as well with the Clairol Root Touchup Kit in Dark Auburn, it's a perfect match, though it does lighten up a bit as it "ages"
