Get the Look: Léa Seydoux at Cannes Film Festival

Celebrity makeup artist Saraï Fiszel created the look for Léa Seydoux for the premiere of “The Grand Central” at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. If only the products would give me her full lips...

Eyes
Saraï started by applying just a few individual lashes to the outer corners and then applying Votre Vu’s Eiffel Power mascara. To create thicker looking lashes, Saraï took the mascara brush and wiped off some of the product with a tissue. She then meticulously applied the mascara making sure to coat each lash and then went back and layered the mascara several times, each time using the same method.

For her brows, Saraï used Arch de Triumphe in Warm and applied it with the Brow Brush & Shaper first to her hand to ensure that it didn’t apply too heavily and then filled in her brows lightly to look natural and not too defined.

Face
It was raining really hard the night of the premiere, so Saraï wanted to make sure that Léa’s makeup would withstand the weather and look fresh and dewy all night. Starting with the base, Saraï first applied a layer of Love Me Deux in Paris and then lightly powdered her face with a YSL pressed powder. The trick is to then apply another layer of the tinted moisturizer on top of the powder wherever needed to make sure that it stays on really well and doesn’t look cakey.

Then, Saraï took Beauté en Bronze and applied it all over the face with a thick brush that wasn’t too dense. “The brush makes all the difference when applying bronzer to the face because you want it to apply evenly and without patches.” After dusting the bronzer all over, Saraï then went back with a denser brush to contour the face and create a nicer angle.

Lips
To finish off the femme fatale look, Saraï created a deep red lip using Votre Vu’s French Kiss Moisture Riche Lipstick in Margaux.

Finishing Touch
Use a lip balm on the eyelids and cheekbones for a fresh, dewy look. “There’s something sexy about a little glossy eyelid and on the cheekbones to make it look like you don’t have any makeup on,” says Saraï.

Get the Look: Alicia Keys at the Sundance Film Festival

Alicia Keys Makeup at Sundance
Now that the Golden Globes are done, many of the "pretty people" have headed to Utah to watch some movies and ski a bit. Celebrity makeup artist Nick Barose created the look for Alicia Keys’ appearance at the 2013 Sundance premiere for ‘The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete’.

“For the look of Alicia’s surprise appearance at the premiere of ‘The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete,’ we wanted to go for a very simple, fresh and modern look."

1. First Nick applied the Votre Vu Love Me Deux in St. Tropez.

2. TThe peachy pink blush from the Beaute en Bronze blush/bronzer duo was applied to her cheeks. This gave her a very natural, glowing flush because the blush has gorgeous light shimmer in it.

3. For her eyes, I lined her waterline with the Le Joli Crayon in Charbon as well as her inner rim and smudged it out a bit to give definition to her eyes while still keeping it soft and simple.

4. Then Nick applied the Eiffel Power mascara (lengthening and fortifiying) to her upper and lower lashes.

5. Lastly, Nick applied the Vu-On Rouge in Bouquet Rose with his fingers to Alicia's lips for a very sheer color and then applied a bit of balm over it to keep her lips hydrated and glossy for the evening.

Get the Look: Megan Hilty at the 2013 Golden Globes

Megan Hilty at the 2013 Golden Globes
Celebrity makeup artist Coleen Campbell-Olwell created Megan Hilty’s look for the 2013 Golden Globes.

“For Megan’s look, we wanted to keep her face soft and simple and make her eyes the focus since she is wearing a gorgeous bold red dress.

I started off with freshly cleansed skin, then used the Votre Vu Attentive Serum Delicat Pour Le Visage to give her skin some extra hydration and then followed with the Votre Vu Attentive Crème Du Jour.

To create her fresh, simple look I applied the Votre Vu Love Me Deux Moisture Tint and Concealer in Champagne. For her cheeks, I applied the Votre Vu Vu-On Rouge in Ma Cherry and then lightly dusted the peachy/pink blush from Votre Vu’s Beaute en Bronze on top to give her a soft glow. I the applied the bronzer from Beaute en Bronze around her face to warm up her skin a little and give a bit of definition. Lastly, I used the Votre Vu Belle Poudre in Medium to set her entire look and keep her shine free for the rest of the evening.

For her eyes, we really wanted them to pop and be the focus so I began by lining the top of her eyes with Votre Vu’s Le Joli Crayon in Aubergine and smoked it out a bit. Then I went back with the Le Joli Crayon in Charbon and defined the ends a bit more for depth. For eyeshadow, since we were going for a smokey but soft look, I used a trio of smokey brown shadows from Dior to add dimension. Then I applied Votre Vu’s Eiffel Power mascara to lengthen and thicken her lashes. The Eiffel Power has great staying power and is just an amazing mascara in general which is perfect for the Globes tonight!

For Megan’s brows, we wanted to go with a more defined arch, so I applied Votre Vu’s Arch de Triumphe in Fair which made her brows just a bit bolder without going too over the top.

Last but not least, for Megan’s lips we wanted something that tied into the color of her cheeks, so I applied the Votre Vu Vu-On Rouge in Bouquet Rose as a base and then layered it with a soft gloss to enhance her full lips. The Vu-On Rouge in Bouquet Rose is such a beautiful color and worked beautifully on her lips!”
