Maybelline Master Strobing Liquid Review and Swatch

A super concentrated liquid highlighter isn't really new, in fact L'Oreal, Maybelline's parent company, makes a very similar product, the True Match Lumi in this favorite Highlighters post. And while it looks very shimmery, I assure you this is a highlighter that can work for absolutely everyone!

Maybelline Master Strobing Liquid Review and Swatch

Thee are 3 shades of this product, and don't feel like you need to stick to the "light or dark" options. Because this is actually a very versatile product, and each shade can work for everyone. Just pick the shade that you think works best with your coloring.

My favorite ways to use it:

1. Mixed in: By mixing a little of the highlighter in moisturizer, you can get a very subtle effect that just makes you look "glowy". The effect works for your face, but also for your body! A little of the medium or dark in body lotion over a faint tan would be soooo pretty!

2. Targeted Highlight: I like to also use a very small amount in certain areas of my face, such as my cheekbone or inner corner of my eye. I recommend putting a tiny amount (think about 1/3 of a pea) on the back of my hand, tap a fingertip in, and then lightly tap on to the area you want to apply the highlighter to. You should end up with a lot less shimmer than in the swatch pictures above, it's actually perfect for showing a little shimmer and color but not making you look like a disco ball.
