BFTE Cosmetics (Beauty from the Earth) is a small, Indie brand based in Kansas, and after playing around with some of their shadows recently I fully confess that I might need a few more. (Ok, more than a few!)
Since I'm a neutrals girl at heart, BFTE sent me a great selection of neutrals to try out. Read on to see swatches!
I should comment first on the 2 packages you see above. On the left is a sample tin, which holds 16 sample jars. This is super convenient! I love that it keeps everything together. On the right you see a "mini collection" of 3 full sized shadows, when purchased you get a little discount and the 3 work together to create a look. These 3 shades are the "Too Faced" look.
Smoke- Charcoal grey with silver flecks and shimmer
Pewter- Polished pewter with silver shimmer
Cocoa- Dark Neutral Toned Brown with Silver Shimmer
Suede- Velvety silvery warm light taupe
Rockstar- Blackened bronze with gold shimmer
Truffle- A golden medium matte brown
Mississippi Mud- Matte dark brown
Bat Wing- From the Halloween 2011 collection, no further description available
Sensuous- Dirty silver with a golden sheen
Sweet Nothings- Light putty grey with slight gold and silver sheen
Baked- Similar to Suede but a tad deeper
Spring Fever- Light cool-toned pink with golden-orange duochrome
Dusty Rose- Smooth metallic Rose Gold
Beautiful- A pretty light yellow, though apparently a duochrome is seen when applied wet. I haven't tested this yet, I'm excited to see it!
Very Vanilla- Matte vanilla
Lace- Golden Ivory
What's really interesting about these 3 shadows is that they don't have just 1 color. The pictures really don't do them justice. The shimmer in person is amazing! this is one of the BFTE Mini Collections, they put 3 full sized shades together (they even have great pics of how they look when used together) and the price is a bit discounted.
Beautiful- Gold that shifts to pink
Riddle- Golden bronze that shifts to green with hints of red.
Dew Drop- Pinkish purple that shifts to greenish gold
In the next few weeks I'll be featuring some of these shades in some eye looks. Keep an eye out for them (no pun intended), I can't wait to use them! The shimmers and depth of the shades... so pretty!
