Paul Mitchell Curls: What's Up With My Curls Right Now?

Paul Mitchell Curls
If you're a regular reader, you know that I'm currently dealing with some super damaged hair issues, so while my hair is wavy, I've been wearing it mostly straight. So, of course... I have to test curly hair products. Which I've actually really been looking forward to using. So, I'm currently working on the best way to wear my hair curly. (Which I'm really looking forward to. I'm sooo bored of my hair straight. And I damaged it by curling it. I want it curly!)

So, I've been trying out the products. Paul Mitchell sent me 4, which was a shampoo, leave in conditioner, a smoothing product and a creamy gel. I'll review them fully sometime soon, it's too soon to really complete a review. But, I thought a mid-process check in was worth while! I've been using the products for about a week, and these pics are from my second or third time using them.

The first picture is my hair mid-blow dry. My hair is a bit wavy, but I don't have big and pretty waves. I have bad (bad) 1980's home perm waves. Here, I've used all of the products that Paul Mitchell sent me, and I started to use my diffuser. I did not scrunch my hair at all. Look at the volume! My hair is HUGE. It also is most definitely not straight. There's a lot of wave in there, and I swear every time I stopped diffusing to check it, there was even more wave. To get the curlier look that I love I did put in a few "pretty" curls on the top, but it really saved a lot of time to just put in about 4 curls on the top layer. I didn't need to touch anything on the layers below.

So, that's my #curlconfession for this week. It's still a work in progress, but I'm definitely getting the hang of it! I'm hoping to get to the point that I can just use the products and style my hair a little (without a curling iron) and love my curls!
