Yes, this really is pore perfecting. Truly, it doesn't feel gloppy at all. It is a light taupe/skin color, a bit opaque and it feels silky. It has a dry gel consistency, and you only need a very small amount. I used about the size of a small pea for my entire face, and this was more than enough. It doesn't pill up at all (Smashbox, I'm looking at you), and just seems to sink in to my skin immediately.
Pretty much any foundation applied over this primer looks much smoother and my pores definitely look smaller. Strangely enough, the only foundation that it doesn't seem to make a difference for is the Urban Decay Naked Foundation. I think that foundation simply doesn't need the primer. I've been using it with everything else from CoverGirl to Make Up For Ever and it makes a big difference!
Are you using a foundation primer? What do you look for in a primer, pore perfection or mattifying?
Urban Decay
Do you like this better than the Mally Poreless Face Defender for pores?
ReplyDeleteI am very dry and what some would call shiny, I say dewy! Lol so I look to a primer for a little added moisture . Just the right amount though, not too much. I feel like my foundation looks better with a primer.
ReplyDeleteDo you prefer this over the Mally Poreless Face Defender for reducing pore appearance?
ReplyDeleteI haven't really had a lot of luck with the Mally reducing pores, that does a great job at replacing powder for me and making me look smoother that way. I'm also having good luck with a new primer from the Elle collection from Kohl's, more on that soon!
