Yesterday I shared the new Too Faced Summer Eyes Palette, but they had another recent addition to their amazing eye palette family, the Boudoir palette.

I know what you're thinking.... Wait... don't I already own that palette? Actually, I'm on my second one?? (Wait, I might be the only one that is wondering that last question. And yes, I'm on my second one.)
Boudoir and Naked Eye Palettes Comparison
So, yes, the Boudoir and Naked Eye Palettes by Too Faced are pretty similar. To the point that they have many of the same shades. I've put unique shades to each palette in italics below.

Boudoir Eye Palette
In the Buff, Fuzzy Handcuffs, Voulez-Vous
Satin Sheets, Sugar Walls, Garter Belt
Birthday Suit, Lap Dance, French Tickler

Naked Eye Palette
In the Buff, Pillow Talk, Like a Virgin
Birthday Suit, Satin Sheets, Unmentionables
Pink Cheeks, Lap Dance, Stilleto

Too Faced Eye Shadows In the Buff, Fuzzy Handcuffs Voulez-Vous, swatch

Too Faced Eye Shadows Satin Sheets, Sugar Walls, Garter Belt, Birthday Suit, Lap Dance, French Tickler swatch

So, looking at the shadow swatches from the Boudoir Palette, I think you'll see it's definitely neutral, but easily a bit sultry. It includes one of my favorite shadows of all time (Birthday Suit. See how I've hit pan on it in the Naked Palette? That's the reason I'm on Naked Palette #2). But, I also really love a few of the other shades here. Lap Dance is amazing (it's in both), Sugar Walls and Garter Belt are super pretty together as a duo, and I think the change from Stilleto to French Tickler is a big upgrade. (I didn't really ever use the matte black of Stilleto. French Tickler is really nice to add over a black liner for some fun and depth.)

If I was going to pick one of the palettes I'd go with Boudoir, but I think enough of my staples appear in both palettes that I am really loving having the options of both.

Too Faced Boudoir Eye Look How To
When I'm really pinched for time, this is my go-to eye look (hence, the over use of Birthday Suit!) It is really fast, neutral and perfect for punching up with a fun eye liner if I'm not in the mood for black or brown.

  2. I love Too Faced! I wish I could wear more of their products.. Anything that touches skin that isn't my eyelids gets red and itchy. Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me?

  3. I have this palette as well. I've only used it once though. Sometimes eye palettes overwhelm me! I know I will warm up to it, just like I did with my Naked palettes!
Love the eye you did. I might try that first.

  5. I haven't had that issue with them, it sounds like an allergy to me. :(

  7. Thanks Jenn! I'm blessed with big giant eyes, but the lashes (thanks to Revitalash) help a lot!

  8. Thanks Christine, I've never had a problem with any other makeup before except them. I guess I need to research what is in their products my skin hates. So sad because I love the whole face palettes to. I have the nearly naked one I can't even wear :(

  9. I have a question! Is it really OK to put eyeliner on the inner rim of the lower lid? it just seems not safe to me for some reason...

  11. @Heather That definitely sucks. :( There must be something in there that your skin hates, I hope you figure it out!!

@Lori- As far as I know it's fine, with a few things kept in mind:
    1) Make sure if you have any sort of infection brewing that you throw out all of your eye makeup (liners!! Don't just sharpen them, you'll get that crap in your sharpener too)
    2) Make sure you completely remove it at night. The liners obviously have waxes and such in them that can clog pores and cause issues. Good remover is essential.

@lizzy- I've been getting the Tina Fey comment a LOT since going darker with my hair! I'm definitely taking it as a compliment, thanks!

  12. I LOVE my Boudoir pallet. I use Sugar walls on the lid,lap dance on the outer corner of the lid, voulez-vous in the crease, fuzzy handcuffs to blend out the crease and transition up to the brow, then add some satin sheets to the tear duct and brow bone areas. Finish off with lining the lash line with french tickler and smudge some voulez vouz on the lower lash line... beautiful!
