Too Faced No Makeup Makeup: Many Face Products in 1 Compact

Too Faced No Makeup Makeup Review and Swatches
If you head over to Pinterest and look around for about 2 minutes you'll see that there are a million and one pins about highlighting and contouring your face a'la Kim K. Seriously, it's like 1984 all over again. (And yes, even I am guilty of doing the face contouring post.)

I'm a little over the face contouring (except for the nose contouring, it does help!), I'm kind of excited for summer and the more traditional use of bronzer to give a sunkissed look with a little shimmer highlight here and there. Too Faced recently sent me their No Makeup Makeup palette. This handy palette has everything you need to create a pretty look (outside of the eye makeup and lippie).

You can see that the bronzer is pretty golden, a little too golden for my very fair complexion, but I do know that it would work well for a lot of my slightly less fair friends. They seem to have problems finding a bronzer that is the right in between shade of brown and golden (for me that shade seems to come from the Too Faced Endless Summer 16 Hour Bronzer).

The cream and powder blush are my favorites of the palette. They work perfectly alone or together for a long lasting and very pretty pink flush. It's the perfect bright pink that is still light and when used with a light hand is just super pretty!

Unfortunately for me, with my super light skin, I'm too light for the concealer. It has light to medium coverage, blends easily and if you layer it you can easily build the coverage.

The brightener and luminizer are the also standouts. It's really hard to tell in the swatches because they just kind of blend into my skin and do their jobs, but they are very subtle. Brighten is a little lighter and there's more shimmer in the luminizer. The brightener is great for your under eye area, it helps make me look more awake without making it obvious that I've used anything besides a normal concealer. Luminizer however adds a subtle catch of light wherever I want a little highlight. So, my brow bone, inner corner of my eye, cheekbone and the bow of my upper lip.

Remember these pics from my Too Faced Boudoir Eye Palette review? I'm using the blushes, brighten and luminize here. While you can't really see much in the pics (well, you can see the blush), in person it does make me look more awake and the shimmer of luminize is just enough without being all **SHIMMER** in your face.

Overall this palette would be a slightly better fit for someone with a darker complexion than me. Basically, I think if that concealer works for you, then the bronzer will likely be a good match for you as well.

  1. I'm have a fair complexion also, so the bronzer might not work on me, but this does look handy set of shades to have.

  2. I realize this is an older post but I was looking for reviews on this palette and I found this! Thanks for the review, this looks ideal for me as I'm a busy mom of a toddler with another on the way! Makeup has become a non necessity but I think I need a little something to make me look ok:)
