Urban Decay's Naked Skin Ultra Definition Loose Finishing Powder

Recently I've been reaching for one powder at the end of my makeup routine. I have 3 or 4 others (really) sitting on the counter next to my Urban Decay Naked Skin Finishing Powder, but I'm grabbing this one almost every time.

Why is it so amazing? This powder is super, ultra fine. Even with no blending it is invisible on my skin (I swear that I've accidentally reapplied it a few times because I couldn't remember if I'd already used it.)

The powder comes in 5 different shades and you can get a bit of an idea what 3 of them look like in this picture (I've been using Naked Light). The powder does a great job of setting my makeup and helping it last longer, but I wish it cut down a bit more on shine. It helps, but not as much as a few other powders I have. It's great for now, I'm not sure if I'll be able to still use it in the summer.

  1. What are the other powders you like that you referred to ( any drugstore choices)? I'm looking for a good setting powder too that looks smooth and natural.

  2. I don't really have a "great" drugstore option right now. My fave was a CoverGirl that got d/c'd. I have these right now:

I use the UD more often than the others. There is an ELF powder that's a decent dupe of the MUFE, but I find it a bit hard to use just because it flies out all over the place (and I haven't found it in stores, I had to get it online). I have a new Maybelline that Meijer just sent me, hopefully that will be a good option!

  4. Hi Christine! Can you please do a drugstore "fiteen minute" makeup routine for teens (I'm a fifteen year old blogger):) That would be do helpful! I just came across your blog, so I'm not sure whether or not you have done a blog post like this.
    love, Jenna xx

  5. Hi Christine,
What about Mineral Veil by bareMinerals?
I love it - skin perfecting coverage, translucent, cut VERY FINE, makeup lasts all day.
    Your thoughts and comparisons?

  6. I'm allergic to bareMinerals, they put something in there that makes me rashy. So I have no idea. Sorry!

  9. Have you tried the Amazonian Clay one by Tarte? I love that one but in the winter it was almost too drying for my skin - which I never thought I'd say. If you have tried it, what do you love about this one more?

  10. I haven't tried that one, when I've looked at it at Sephora it wasn't the right color for my skin, it looks orange on me? Odd.
