Wavy Hair 5 Minute Tutorial

I've been obsessed with wavy hair recently. I'm tired of my straight hair. I want it wavy, bent, curled... you name it! I've been experimenting with different ways to add texture to my hair, and I have to admit that I haven't found a bad one yet.

When I heard that there is an entire line of TRESemmé products just to help you get this exact look, their Perfectly (un)Done line, you know that this was going to happen...

Tresemme Perfectly (un)Done collection review

Yes, that's my basket at Walgreen's, with 5 products in it! There's a shampoo, conditioner, foam, sea salt spray, and brushable hair spray. All of the Perfectly (un)Done products are formulated to help you create great waves with texture. The shampoo and conditioner are very lightweight and silicone free, so your hair doesn't get weighed down. The products have Sea Kelp Extract, which activates to form natural-looking waves in each strand There's also a gelee (not pictured), which my Walgreen's didn't carry.

I was feeling inspired by this TRESemmé Hollywood Waves video, but didn't want to take the time to actually curl my hair. Luckily, I found an easy answer to that. To get this look, it took me an amazingly long 5 minutes to get this look. Well, after drying my hair. I think it was time well spent!

I started by washing my hair with the shampoo and conditioner. They're hydrating but don't weigh down hair, and they include a sea kelp extract to add a little extra texture, which is great when you're creating a wavy look later. While my hair is still wet I use the foam on my hair, from the roots to the tips. I use 2 full handfuls, it's enough to give my hair texture and some hold but it doesn't feel sticky.

Once my hair is dry, I started to curl it. I grabbed random sections of hair, wrapping them around 2 fingers. I just pinned them up quickly with small butterfly clips. I sprayed a little water on each curl and using a diffuser I dried the curls for about 2 minutes with low speed but high heat. Then I went to do my makeup for about 10 minutes while my hair cooled down.

When my hair was cooled off, I removed each of the butterfly clips and carefully let each of the curls fall without coming apart. I then sprayed my hair with the brushable Perfectly (un)Done Hairspray. Finally, a light combing with a wide tooth comb and I had pretty, loose curls and waves that only took a few extra minutes!
