Now that the holiday shopping season is here, I really need to share some of the beauty gifts that I purchased (yes, for myself....) I love to stock up on eye shadow palettes at the holidays. The deals are unreal, and many of these palettes are perfect for travel.
My favorite palettes are always the ones from Too Faced. I love that they don't skimp on the shadow quality in these special purchases like some other brands. The shadows are always well pigmented, blend well, and so pretty!
The shadow palette that I was most excited about this year was definitely this set from Too Faced. Inside of that cute little house (well, Le Grand Chateau), is a deluxe travel sized Better Than Sex mascara, which is one of my favorites, and 3 palettes.
These palettes are the reason why I really wanted this set! I love that instead of a very big, difficult to transport palette, there are three smaller palettes that include 6 color coordinated shadows with either a blush or bronzer. That makes it really easy to just grab one in the morning when you're getting ready, or stick one or two in your luggage when you're traveling.
Below you can see my swatches. They're prepped with Urban Decay Primer Potion. The 6 shadows are the top row left to right and then the bottom row left to right. The blush/bronzer is the horizontal line on the bottom.
These shadow are well pigmented, aren't powdery, and blend beautifully. The shadows don't fade or crease throughout the day. I also like the blushes a lot, I've been reaching for Trés Fab a lot.
Here's a quick look wearing the shadows recently! I have Amour and Je t'aime mixed together on a big fluffy brush and then washed over my entire lid up to my brow bone. Moi is applied to my crease, and then I smudged black liner into my lash line. I smudged a bit of Oui over the liner as well, and then applied 2 layers of Better than Sex Mascara. I finished with Trés Fab blush and La Creme Lipstick in Naked Dolly.

I love the Too Faced palettes so much and I really like that there are much warm an natural coulors in the "grand chateau"! I also think that this would be a great christmas gift but sadly I can't find it anymore, do you know if any website still has it in stock?
