I've posted a few quick and easy makeup looks lately, and the response has been great! Readers have asked for a few more tutorials, so I'll keep showing easy makeup looks, but I'm hoping to feature more brands at different price points.
Today's look only took about 5 minutes, something about using all pencil products makes application very fast and easy! The color products that I used are all from Palladio, which is also available at stores like ULTA and Sally Beauty if you want to see products in person. I love that they are at an affordable price point, but are well pigmented, apply easily and have botanical and vitamins added to the formulas.
Read on for the quick makeup tutorial!
Here's a quick peek at the products that I picked for this look.
Shadow & Liner Crayon
This shadow stick can be used as a liner as well, and is very creamy and easy to blend with a brush or fingertip. I went for a neutral shimmery taupe tone, it is perfect for every day! I've worn it to work, on the weekend, you name it. I just draw it on my lid where I want the color to be. I blend the edges with a shadow brush. It lasts all day when applied over a basic eye primer.
Precision Eyeliner
This is the perfect liner if you want to do a smokey eye, because it is a little bit softer and is easy to blend out with a smudge brush. I found it to be very pigmented and easy to apply to just the right area along my lash line.
I'm Blushing 2-In-1 Cheek & Lip Tint
This was my favorite of the products I think (though I love them all). This is just the right consistency and amount of color to work great on both your cheeks and lips! I draw it on where I want it, blend with a fingertip. Dainty is the perfect pinky-peach color for me, it's so pretty!
Lash Obsessed Mascara
I've had to put this mascara into my "special" organizer in my vanity. That's where I put mascaras that I can only wear with contacts, not with glasses! This mascara adds a lot of length (and volume) to my lashes. My lashes were rubbing so much on the inside of my glasses that it made it difficult to blink! I've started recommending this mascara to everyone looking for dramatic lashes at a reasonable price point.
I start with a face that I've already applied BB Cream to, as well as prepping my lid with shadow primer.
The Shadow & Liner Crayon is easy to use, I just draw it all over my lid, up to the crease. I use an eye shadow brush to gently pat at the edge of the color to blend it out. I also like to add a little of the shadow under my lower lash line to add some definition. I just draw right at the base of my lashes.
Next I grab the Precision Eyeliner, and apply a liner right at the base of my upper and lower lashes. It doesn't need to look perfect as I'll smudge it out, but I do want liner in between the lashes at their bases. I just draw right along the base of those lashes, letting the pencil push them around and be crazy. It's pretty fast and easy! I do make the line slightly thicker at the outer corner.
Once I've applied the liner, I grab a smudge brush and run it over the liner. It smooths out any mistakes and blurs the line just enough to make it pretty.
This is what one coat of the Lash Obsessed Mascara looks like. I had to put contacts in later, my lashes were suddenly too long to wear my glasses!
Next, I applied a bit of the I'm Blushing 2-In-1 Cheek & Lip Tint to my cheeks. I just draw it on to the apple of my cheeks and then a little bit towards my hair line, I come back with fingertips and gently blend it. I also used this same color on my lips, I applied it just like any lip color. It feels very hydrating and the color lasted for hours (and through dinner) without any issues!
I think the look is very simple and pretty, and best of all it took about 5 minutes!
Palladio is also available at stores like ULTA and Sally Beauty, but you can get 15% off with the code 15MINBEAUTY for the next month on their website!
