Now that the summer is wrapping up, my hair has needed a lot of extra TLC. If you're like me, your hair has also been acting up. Between the sun, heat, humidity, pool water, lake water or salt water... all of those things cause hair to get frizzy, damages the hair itself and even to have split ends.

1. Damaged Hair
Nexxus Emergencée Reconstructing Treatment: When your hair has been severely damaged, most of us reach for a hair mask. But that's the wrong choice. Hair masks are usually hydrating, and more appropriate for dry hair. For damage, you need to look for a treatment that can help repair, or at least stabilize, damage to the hair shaft. This product is used as a once a week treatment, the collagen and elastin will actually help to reinforce your hair, reducing breakage and further damage.

2. Frizz
Nexxus Oil Infinite Shampoo and Conditioner: This is the shampoo and conditioner duo I reach for when my hair is getting a bit on the frizzy side. The oils in the formula help to restore much needed moisture to my hair without weighing it down. As much as I like the Nourishing Hair Oil (see below), the key to fighting the frizz is really this duo.

3. Flat Hair

 and Conditioner: Yes, even those of us with tons of hair can have volume issues since it weighs itself down! This shampoo and conditioner duo somehow gets your hair just the right amount of moisture so it can't weigh itself down, but it also has proteins and the formula increases the diameter of every strand of hair by up to 17%, which seriously makes my hair look much more voluminous!

4. Dull and Lifeless
Nexxus Oil Infinite Nourishing Hair Oil: I love this oil! I use it mostly on my hair when it is damp, 1 pump well distributed before I dry my hair makes it much shinier and healthier looking. But it's also amazing as a last step in my styling process. Just a little bit of this oil through the ends of my hair makes my hair look much more polished.

5. Fading Color
Nexxus Color Assure Pre-Wash Primer:
I hate spending money on expensive hair color at the salon, only to have the color fade or turn brassy within a few weeks, even with color safe hair products! This is a pre-wash treatment that you put into your hair while it is still dry. The treatment coats your hair, helping to keep your color looking perfect despite washing your hair. Yes, your hair will still get clean!

6. Split Ends
Nexxus Promend Split End Binding Creme: Yes, this creme does exactly what it sounds like. If you have split ends, a little of this on your damp hair will seal the split ends to prevent further damage and make your hair look much, much better. It isn't a permanent fix, think of this as bandaid until you can get into to your stylist for a good trim. I keep a bottle of this around all the time, because you never know when your hair will suddenly have issues!
