China Glaze Stone Cold, Swatch and Review

China Glaze Stone Cold review swatch nail polish
2 coats to opaque. This dries matte, so I added top coat to a few nails so you could really see the pretty shimmer. Love this!

Milani Violet Dash Nail Polish

Milani violet dash nail polish swatch review
Seriously, soooo pretty! This only took 1 (!) coat to opaque, though I did use a very light second coat just to ensure that I didn't have any unseen bare patches once I took pics. It took about 2 minutes for things to be "dry" to the touch, about 15-20 before I could really do pretty much anything. I've had one of the Milani Quick Dry colors on my toes for about 5 days now without any issues, so far so good!

China Glaze Dressed Up Swatch

china glaze, dressed up, hunger games, nail polish, review, swatch
3 coats to opaque. It was pretty on my skin, but I held my fingernails up to one of my residents, who is much darker complected than me, and it will be amazing on her.

OPI Animal-istic Swatch

This is an interesting color. Red, pink and orange at the same time, especially in different lighting. There is some same color glass flecked shimmer as well.

2 coats to opaque.

2 layers. This is a very pretty chocolate brown, though in dark light it appears black.

2 coats to opaque. It's not quite purple and not quite pink once dried, I really loved it.

Zoya Kendal Nail Polish

This is a very pretty color, definitely in the lilac-grey color family. It does morph a bit depending on the lighting. It was opaque with 2 coats and stayed put for days without an issue.

Julep Glenn Nail Polish

julep nail polish, glenn, review, swatch
2 coats to opaque, but it is really well pigmented and 1 would have probably been enough. It has a shiny, satin feel that reminded me of OPI's INRaW. It's really very pretty.

China Glaze Kinetic Energy Nail Polish

china glaze, kinetic energy, review, swatch
To me, this color comes off as a slightly lighter version of Tiffany Blue, though a bit more robin's egg and less green. It's really very pretty. I used 2 coats and it was easily opaque, if I'd been a bit more careful I probably could have used just 1 coat.

Zoya Bevin: A Sage Green for Spring?

zoya, bevin, swatch, review, green nail polish
Definitely a different green, this is a little sage, a little teal... not the bright green or dark emerald that we're used to seeing.

It barely needs 2 coats to opaque. Zoya has really been hitting it out of the park with the pigmentation level of their polishes. Opaque polishes are actually opaque, and they need 1 or 2 coats to get there. So refreshing!

Zoya Kennedy: A Cool Neutral Shade for Pale Girls

This pale neutral, which I think might steer very slightly to the cool side, barely even needs 2 coats!

Zoya Lotus: Another Purple I Can't Live Without

2 coats to opaque.

There is shimmer but it is so subtle that it is nearly impossible to see in any light except bright sunlight. At least, that was my Michigan winter experience. The shimmer is primarily gold, though there are so other colors on occasion (pink and red?)

China Glaze Techno: The Glittery Top Coat

China Glaze Techno: The Glittery Top Coat
If you're on Pinterest like me, you probably have been seeing a ton of pics of nail polishes with ombre effects. I want to do that with glitter, and this is THE perfect polish to use for that purpose.

This polish has a clear base and has both micro and hexagonal glitter in a shiny silver that reflects as many colors. Seriously pretty.

China Glaze Fuchsia Fanatic: An Amazing Bright Fuchsia Pop

china glaze fuchsia fanatic swatch nail polish
I love these bright pink shades and this is a really good one. It needs about... 1.5 coats (1 would have been fine if I'd been a bit more careful), it is really pigmented. It wears like iron. And this bright pink color is the perfect pop of color for spring. I can see this being a go-to mani or pedi color all summer long.

Zoya Skylar: A Pretty Blue-Grey with Silver Shimmer

zoya Skylar swatch, review
I'm not usually a blue nail polish fan. They tend to make my skin look blue, like I don't have enough circulation. Finally, a blue that I can wear! This is a very pretty mid-tone blue grey color, and I love the silver shimmer.

2 coats to opaque.

China Glaze Wicked Style Nail Polish

china glaze wicked style nail polish swatch
China Glaze describes this color as "Party cocktail tropical punch", and that's probably as close as I could get as well. It isn't quite pink (though it does look like it is in the bottle), it isn't quite coral... It's in between. It's bright and tropical. Really, I just think that it is quite fine.

2 coats to opaque.

Zoya Tru: A Pretty Grape with Shimmer

zoya tru, purple nail polish, swatch
I'm a big sucker for purple nail polishes, especially if they have any shimmer.

According to Zoya, this color is "a saturated, red-toned grape purple with speckled shimmer that reflects gold, orange and red. Bold and saturated warm color made even more interesting with color-shifting shimmer."

The shimmer for me is fairly subtle and about 90% gold, in only certain lights I could pick up the orange and reds. 2 coats to opaque.
