Formal Looks: Megan Fox Golden Globes 2011
Tuesday, April 05, 2011Celeb hairstylist Andy Lecompte created an amazing, old Hollywood feeling with Megan Fox's Veronica Lake waves.
To achieve this look, Lecompte started by applying Phyto Professional Intense Volume Mousse before blow drying. He set her hair using a 3/4-inch barrel curling iron and then pin curls. Once he released the pin curls, Lecompte brushed out her hair and gave the hair a deep side part.
I also heard from Pureology's April Webster who gave tips on how to create some of the great hair looks seen on the Golden Globes Red Carpet. Megan Fox was listed as an example of "Long Romantic Waves" and her directions were a bit different.
1. Prepare the hair by spritzing 8 pumps of ColourStylist FortifyingHeatSpray on damp hair then create a custom blend of equal parts ColourStylist NourishingNectar and ColourStylist SilkBodifier. Apply to midshaft, ends, then scalp area last.
2. Blow-dry hair using a medium round brush. Once hair is dry, curl hair using a 1-inch curling iron spaying each section with ColourStylist StrengtheningControl hairspray prior to curling. Clip each curl with a single prong clip to allow the curl to cool.
3. Remove clips when hair is cool and gently brush using a soft bristle brush. Apply a small pea sized amount of ColourStylist CuticlePolisher and push waves into desired shape.
4. Finish the look with ColourStylist StrengtheningControl zero dulling hairspray.
