When I shared the new NARS Eye Paints, I promised an eye look. And I have to admit, that I keep grabbing them and using Tatar and Snake Eyes as liners for a light eye. I can't help it, the look is so pretty! But, I finally had time to play with Tatar for a dark smoky eye. The look is pretty dramatic and works best for going out rather than everyday.
To start this look, I used a nylon brush to apply NARS Tatar all over my entire lid, up to the crease. I then gently patted the edges with my fingertip to blend/feather the product. I next used my go-to crease color, Wet 'n Wild Nutty, which went into my crease. I blended it down a little bit onto the Tatar and then above.
I used Too Faced's Perfect Liner in Perfect Black and Better than False Lashes to finish off the look.
The "complete" pictures were taken about 8 hours after I did the look. You can see that the Eye Paint held up pretty well with minimal creasing! Perfect for a night out.

I love the intense eye look, however I have never been able to pull it off. My eyes are hooded and it makes me look like I'm tired or something (not sexy at all). Do you have any pointers for me? Maybe I'm just doing it wrong or using the wrong eyeshadow colors.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty look! I'm going to have to pick up some of that Nutty crease shade. I always think about putting a darker color into the crease, not something lighter than the eyeshadow going on the lid. I will have to try this out!
ReplyDeleteI tried Too Faced Better than false lashes when they first came out and I hated it! It looks gorgeous on your lashes here, but when I tried it, I felt like the fibers from the first mascara got into the second mascara when I was going back and forth between for coats. If that makes sense. It was pretty the first time, then it seemed like they contaminated back and forth.
It looks great! I'll have to try these products, especially WnW Nutty.
