I'm a drugstore beauty girl at heart, set me loose in an aisle and I can spend hours checking out new lipsticks and hair care products. I love having time to look at products and browse! At my local Walgreen's (and yours) there's a new product line you should check out: Toni&Guy's salon products are in stock! My Walgreen's had them in a little freestanding display in the center aisle, but your store might have an end cap or they may be on the regular shelf.
I picked up a few products to try out, the Volume Plumping Whip and Smoothing Lotion.
The Volume Plumping Whip (shown above) was the first product I grabbed. This product is a light mousse, not at all sticky. It reminded me more of a whipped body lotion than a hair product. I use about a grape sized amount of product in clean, wet hair. I just roughly distribute it throughout my roots with fingers. Then just style and dry as usual.
This Whip really is no joke. It adds a lot of volume. If you're not careful, you could have too much volume. And that volume comes without doing any teasing, and it lasts all. day. long. If you have flat hair, this product is definitely for you!
The second product I grabbed was the Smoothing Lotion. This is a very easy to use lotion that helps straighten hair and smooth frizz as you style. I used a small amount, about the size of a blueberry, and distributed it throughout my wet hair. Then I just dried my hair as usual.
The Smoothing Lotion does do a good job of removing frizz, adding shine and helping to straighten my hair. I've used it a few times now, and I didn't feel compelled to add shine serum to my hair after drying it! I also thought it was easier and faster to dry my hair and straighten it.
I only tried out two styling products from the Toni&Guy line, but there are a lot more to pick from! Here's a peek at the different collection:

I totally hauled butt to Walgreens. The first one didn't have any in stock, the second one had them all in stock and I grabbed the Volume Plumping Whip and ran for the register! ReplyDeleteYeah!!! I'm glad you found it! I really do think it works great. Just a time amount is all you need, just smoosh it in your roots with your fingers. I dry my hair with my head upside down and I swear when I turn my head back upright after using the Volume Plumping Whip that I always freak out, my hair is HUGE!
