Nars Stud and Never Too Late Eye Shadows

Have you seen the latest limited edition shadows from NARS? In LOVE. Seriously, I'm in love. Snatch them up now, and if you miss them, you should pray to the eye shadow Gods that they add them to the regular line.

Nars Stud and Never Too Late Eye Shadows

Never Too Late is an amazing Olive Green with Gold Shimmer. You can make it more intense if you apply when wet (or just with a wet brush), and if you want it to look a bit more green, I suggest patting the shadow on the eye instead of sweeping your brush. Sweeping seems to bring out more of the brown/gold tones a bit.

Stud is described as a Soft Pewter Bronze, but there really is quite a bit of shimmer in there. It's a great accent to other neutral shades.

I created a quick look so you could really see how amazing these shadows are! They're very pretty when used together.

I started with a prepped (primed) eye lid. As usual, I used my NYX Shadow Base all over my entire lid, up to the brow bone. I then used Never Too Late on my mobile lid, just up to the crease. I swept it all over and then patted a little extra near my lash line to make the color darker and more intense. I then applied a little MAC Woodwinked to my crease, blending it up to my brow bone. NARS Stud was added to my outer corner and blended up into the crease (over the Woodwinked) a bit.

Finally, I applied black eyeliner into my upper and lower lash lines (this is Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Precision Glide Eye Liner), and smudged it a bit with a smudge brush that had been dipped into Never too Late. My lashes were completed with Clinique Chubby Lash Mascara in Jumbo Jet.

The look was completed with It Cosmetics CC Cream, NARS Blush in Orgasm, and L'Oreal La Lacque lippie in 209 Coco-Lacque.

What do you think? Are they as pretty as I think?

  2. Just found your sight through a cooking blog. I love quick makeup routines and I especially like it when somebody else buys and tries and comments on more than 1 brand of make-up. I also like that I can order from your sight, just purchased the Nars and Mac eye shadows from this post. Can't wait to try. Thank you for your beauty advice.
