Too Faced Chocolate Shop Palette Review and SwatchesToo Faced Chocolate Shop Palette Review and Swatches

My obsession with holiday palettes continues! Every year Too Faced comes out with a huge holiday collection, with a bunch of palettes. And while I have found the shadows in these palettes to be a bit more powdery than their normal palettes, they are still very well pigmented, blend well and the colors are great! In short, they're a steal. And the real issue is deciding which on you're going to buy.

This year I bought the Sephora Exclusive Chocolate Shop set.

Read on to see pictures, swatches and see if this year's palette lives up to previous year's palettes.

Too Faced Le Grand Chateau Holiday Gift Set

Now that the holiday shopping season is here, I really need to share some of the beauty gifts that I purchased (yes, for myself....) I love to stock up on eye shadow palettes at the holidays. The deals are unreal, and many of these palettes are perfect for travel.

Top 10 Tuesday: My Favorite Neutral Eye Shadow Palettes

Top 10 Tuesday: My Favorite Neutral Eye Shadow Palettes

I love a good eye shadow palette, and if the shadows are neutral, then I love it even more! Here's a peek at the neutral shadow palettes that I'm obsessing over right now. And really, is it any surprise that the first 3 are from Bobbi Brown, given my recent obsession? I didn't think so!

1. Bobbi Brown Greige Eye Palette: The newest one from Bobbi, this really is full of the perfect taupey-grey beige colors. Both matte and shimmer. Read my full Greige Eye Palette review and swatches, buy the palette from Bobbi Brown or Nordstrom.

2. Bobbi Brown Secret to Standout Eyes: This was the special palette from the Nordies Anniversary sale, but you can buy it still, just at a slightly higher price now. It's taken up permanent residence on my vanity counter, it is pointless to put it away! I'm hoping Bobbi releases Oyster as a shadow single, I'll probably hit pan in the next month or so. Here is my Secret to Standout Eyes review, you can buy the palette from Bobbi Brown or Nordstrom.

3. Bobbi Brown Shimmering Sands Eye Palette: Check out my full Shimmering Sands Palette Review and Swatches, you can buy the palette still from Bobbi Brown or Sephora.

4. Too Faced Boudoir Eyes: This is one of my old stand bys, I'm on my 2nd palette. Yes, I repurchased a palette. That is love people. Read my Too Faced Boudoir Eyes review, you can buy it from Too Faced or Sephora.

5. Urban Decay Naked: How could you have a neutral palette list without this palette? You can't. It's a classic and it works for everyone. It is definitely worth the steep price! Buy it from Urban Decay, Sephora or Nordstrom.

6. Urban Decay Naked Basics: This palette is filled with the neutral mattes that go perfectly with the Naked palette, and there's a #2 version to go with Naked2 (I have both, but prefer this version). Definitely get it if you find you are hitting pan on the neutral mattes you need to create looks and you're hitting pan! Buy it from Urban Decay, Sephora or Nordstrom.

7. Urban Decay Naked2: I think this palette is likely the most universally useful/flattering of the 3 Naked Palettes. Buy it from Urban Decay, Sephora or Nordstrom.

8. Urban Decay Naked3: This isn't for everyone, the rose-gold leaning of this palette is definitely easier for some to pull off than others. But, it's the Naked palette I reach for the most! Buy it from Urban Decay, Sephora or Nordstrom.

9. MAC Nordstrom Naturals Eyeshadow Palette: There are slightly different versions of this palette, but this one is my favorite. It has MAC shadows like Satin Taupe, Carbon and All That Glitters. For an amazing price! I use mine frequently. I have pictures taken, I'll try to get a full review up soon! Buy it from Nordstrom.

10. Stila Eyes Are the Window Shadow Palette in Soul: I have this in Soul and Spirit, and I use them a lot! I use Soul a little more frequently, that's why I've featured it here. Check out my Stila Eyes are the Window Shadow Palette Review and Swatches, you can buy it at Sephora, ULTA or Nordstrom.

The Melted Lipstick I Love: Too Faced's Melted Metal Metallic Lipstick

Product Sent for Review Affiliate Links

Too Faced Melted Metal Metallic Lipstick Review

You may have read my Too Faced Melted Lipstick review. I wanted to love the products, but it wasn't a great fit for my lips (too drying) and the matte was difficult for me. It was a great idea in theory, but for me they were best used as lip stains. Not exactly what Too Faced had in mind.

A while ago they sent me their new Melted Metal Lipsticks, and I admit that I was rearranging my office, I was busy at work, tons of things were going on and I didn't get to them very quickly.

Oh, how I was missing out!

Too Faced Melted Metal Metallic Lipstick Review

Like the first Melted Lipsticks, there's a good array of shades, there will definitely be one or two that work with your coloring easily. For me, all but the darkest purple work great! The are a creamy liquid lipstick, not very sticky. Definitely thicker than a gloss. They are well pigmented, and with one or two swipes the application is done! I love that these are not matte, instead they are shiny. The bit of shimmer helps quite a bit as well. I'm much better off with the metallic versions than the regular ones.

Beauty Blogger Empties: Loving These Things and Repurchasing Them

Product Sent for Review I Bought It Myself Affiliate Links

favorite beauty blogger products

I've been talking lately about a lot of my beauty blogger friends, and we all agreed that over the past few years, we've been cutting down on the continual product testing. Don't get me wrong, I still use a lot of new products, but I'm allowing myself longer to test them. I'm spending a lot more time with my favorite "in between" products. And while those favorites do evolve a bit over time, I'm doing a lot more repurchasing of products, and I actually have empties! I'm using products up! This was unheard of a few years ago.

So, in honor of all those discussions lately, here's a look at all of the products I've finished and am repurchasing. I'm spending my own money on all of these, despite the offers for similar (free) products. I'd rather use this salt spray than any other. I want my own eye cream, thanks!

1. iS Clinical Youth Eye Complex (at DermStore or SkinStore): This eye cream was mentioned in my Best Eye Creams from Dermatologists post, and somehow has not had it's own post though I've mentioned it a few times! It has vitamins C, E, Retinol, tons of hydration, peptides to increase collagen and it also fights dark circles. I definitely think it makes me look more awake because my concealer looks so much better over it. It is pricey, but the bottle lasted me 6 months! In my shopping cart now. (Not pregnancy safe)

2. It Cosmetics CC+ Illumination Cream (at It Cosmetics or ULTA): This is the newest CC Cream from It, they also have a more traditional (not illuminating) version. They've sent me both kinds, in various shades. Because it is a pretty full coverage product, you do need a pretty good color match. Unfortunately for me, I'm darker than the Fair shade, but much lighter than Light. So, I've bought tubes of both (depending upon what was sent to me) and I've been mixing my own. For my perfect match I need about 75% fair, 25% light. It is hydrating but not overly so for my combination skin, and I love that it is medium to full coverage with almost no blending. I'm going to continue buying 2 tubes all summer long so I can have the perfect match! (Not pregnancy safe)

3. Living Proof Perfect Hair Day 5-in-1 Styling Treatment (at Sephora or Nordstrom, my Living Proof PhD review): This styling cream is in my hair pretty much every day now. I've already gone through 2 bottles! It is the only Living Proof product that combines their anti-frizz ingredient with the volumizing product, and it does a great job of protecting my hair from heat damage as well.

4. Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash (at Sephora and Macy's): I have a big bottle of this in my shower and another next to my sink. I used to reserve this amazing face wash for when I travel (I would hoard bottles of it from hotels), but now I just use it pretty much every day. I do rotate in other products on occasion (like the Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser), but this one is my current favorite.

5. Revitalash Advanced Lash Conditioner (from Revitalash, Nordstrom or Drugstore.com): I pre-purchased 4 of these during the summer Nordie's Anniversary Sale, so they were quite the deal! It makes my lashes so long that I have to be careful with my glasses. Yes. I will not test other lash conditioners. (Not pregnancy safe)

6. Garnier Clean + Nourishing Cleansing Oil (at Drugstore.com or ULTA): I mentioned this on Monday in my Favorite Eye Makeup Removers post, I think I'm on my 4th or 5th bottle of this cleanser already. It's meant to be used just as a facial cleanser, but I use it with a cotton round to easily remove all of my eye makeup. It does leave an oily mess behind, I clean that up with the Bliss Face Wash.

7. Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara (at Too Faced or Sephora): I've lost track of how many tubes of this stuff I've gone through!

8. Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Precision Glide Eyeliner (at Elizabeth Arden) and the Beautiful Color Smoky Eyes Pencil (at Elizabeth Arden): These are currently my 2 go-to eye liner pencils. They're well pigmented, smudge just right into my lash line and won't budge all day.

9. Kerastase Spray à Porter (at Kerastase or Birchbox): This is my go-to salt spray. Others are ok, but this one just really works for me. It adds just enough texture that my hair holds styles and it doesn't feel sticky! How did I live without this??

10. Kerastase Bain Chroma Riche Shampoo & Masque Chroma Riche (at Kerastase): Their shampoo and conditioner for color treated, dry or damaged hair. I've discovered that it really is worth it, and if you watch carefully these products come up on Rue La La about every 6-8 weeks, so you should never have to pay full price! I've found that for some reason the shampoo is really the key to a great hair day for me, I use it every other shampoo (I still get those good hair days!). I buy the big, salon size, and I use the super intense hair mask (the regular conditioner is now not so helpful... I go with the masque!)

What have you used up recently? I had a lot of empties this month. So, I'm currently filling shopping carts all over the web!

Product Sent for Review I Bought It Myself Affiliate Links
I feel the need to explain this disclosure a bit more. A few of these items were originally sent by PR, like the Revitalash (which was sent years ago, but I've repurchased so many times that I've lost count), the Kerastase spray was sent, the Living Proof and It Cosmetics sent me the CC+ Cream but I don't actually match any of it so I mix 2 together (and I like it so much that I've repurchased 2 colors a few times). So yes, stuff was sent, but I've been spending my own money!

Too Faced Rock n' Roll Palette Review and Swatches

Too Faced Rock n' Roll Palette Review and Swatches via 15MinuteBeauty.com

I'm not sure why it has taken me soooo long to get this post up, but it really has. (I guess I did mention this palette over in my Makeup Wars: Must Have Makeup Palettes post earlier this month.)

When Too Faced released their Rock n' Roll and Country Palettes this summer, I was convinced that I would be using Country much more often. Instead it's the Rock n' Roll palette that has taken up permanent residence on my vanity counter.

close look at Too Faced's Rock and Roll Eye Shadow Palette

There are 9 shades included in this palette, and 7 of them are brand new (I really am not sure which 2 are the oldies). Like other Too Faced palettes they're organized into "looks", though I usually don't use them in this way, I tend to skip around picking what I feel like for that day.

Swatch picture of Too Faced Rock n' Roll Eye Shadow Palette via 15minutebeauty.com

I've found that New Romantic is perfect for my entire lid. I like to use a little Glam Rock in my crease. Those 2 together are great as a neutral look. From there I'll sometimes add one of the darker colors at my lash line (usually over a black liner, I use a stiff angled brush to add just a bit of color), and sometimes New Wave will find its way into my inner corner or onto my brow bone.

This is a great palette, definitely check it out if you need some good neutrals and want a little fun color too!

My Picks From Too Faced's Summer Lovin' Sale

My Picks From Too Faced's Summer Lovin' Sale

I'm a huge fan of Too Faced, something I haven't been very shy about over the years. This morning I got a sale email from them (view the entire Too Faced Sale here), and there are quite a few things hanging out in my cart right now! I thought it would be fun to share my picks with you, though you'll need to hurry, they tend to sell out within a few days!

1. Pretty Rebel Palette: OMG. Buy one now. I might buy a back up. It's worth it just for Ringleader, which is my favorite shadow to use just alone for a look. My Pretty Rebel Palette Review and the best Pretty Rebel Eye Look Tutorials.

2. Joy to the Girls: This was part of last holiday's collection, though this was a palette I didn't get. (Check out the other ones I did have, the Joy to the Girls Collection). I thought that the shadows in the rest of the collection were all pretty wearable, and while there were a few that were powdery, that was easily fixed by swapping out my eye shadow primer to the Too Faced Shadow Insurance Glitter Glue, which has more "grab" and held on to those shadows a bit more. For $25, 10 shadows and a mascara is a steal!

3. Perfect Eyes Eyeliner in Purple: Purple liner is a great way to change up your look, and this shade is very dark purple, so it is pretty subtle. I love this liner formula, it is creamy and well pigmented, super easy to blend and smudge for a smokey eye.

4. Bonjour Beautiful Set: The Matte Eye Collection, Bonjour Beautiful Lip Collection and Perfect Eyes Eyeliner all for a steal.

5. Bronzed and Beautiful Set: If you're a bronzer girl this is a great way to try out a few new shades or bring a few of your favorites along when you travel.

6. La Créme Lip Color: I love Too Faced's lippies, they're long wearing and so hydrating! I have Loganberry in my cart (such a great color for fall), but the bright pink of Fuchsia Shock is also pretty!

7. Beauty Editor Darlings: A lot of their most popular products, all in 1 spot! They're not all full sized, but a few of these I haven't tried (Lip Insurance!) and the rest I'm saving for travel/hospital bag.

8. Glamour to To Palette: This is also great for travel! Shadows, blush, bronzer and gloss all in one compact! You could even bring it along in your purse for easy touchups. There are a few small phone sized compacts in the sale as well, but I prefer this one because it has a bigger selection.

What are you putting in your cart?

10 Best Natural Foundations

With the advances being made in makeup, it is getting easier and easier to get perfect, flawless and natural looking skin, no matter how what your skin issue. I've pulled together some of my favorite foundations, they range from super light to full coverage, they come at almost every price point, but they all blend out to look very natural.

1. Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup (review): This foundation blends very easily, and you can layer it to go from a light/medium coverage up to full.

2. Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer (review): This is the lightest coverage of the bunch, it is super light. This is just enough coverage to even out my skin in the summer time, many of my friends use it when they're tan.

3. L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Makeup: This foundation comes in a great variety of shades and it seems to work for almost everyone. It is a medium coverage but layers to increase the coverage easily.

4. Yves Saint Laurent Le Teint Touche Eclat Illuminating Foundation (review): This foundation is a light medium coverage, there's a bit of shimmer to make it more radiant.

5. Too Faced Cocoa Powder Foundation: I just started using this, and it is super easy to vary the amount of coverage with this foundation! Just use a smaller or bigger brush.

6. Cover FX Total Cover Cream Foundation (review): A medium to full coverage foundation, the coverage can be varied with wetting down the sponge you're applying with.

7. Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover Foundation (review): Similar to the Urban Decay, but I think a little lighter coverage.

8. Revlon Colorstay Foundation: This is every makeup artist's drugstore pick, at least from the interviews I conduct! It's definitely a great one to try out is you have combination or oily skin.

9. L'Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder (review): This is great in the summer, it is super lightweight and when you apply the liquid turns into a very light layer of powder.

10. CoverGirl TruBlend Liquid Makeup (review): This is my favorite drugstore foundation. It blends very easily for medium coverage.

Too Faced Cat Eyes Palette Review and Swatches

Too Faced Cat Eyes Palette Review and Swatches

In case you haven't noticed I'm a huge fan of Too Faced (and this week you'll see a lot of Too Faced, I have a lot of reviews coming up), and their brand new Cat Eyes palette is pretty amazing. I can't say enough about it! It's so amazing that we're dedicating a special edition of Makeup Wars to this palette today. You'll see looks and tutorials from our bloggers (here's my Too Faced Cat Eyes Tutorial), though you shouldn't be surprised to see a lot more looks using this palette all over the web for weeks to come.

Too Faced Cat Eyes Palette Review and Swatches
One of the most interesting things about this palette is the wide range of colors. Yes, there are 3 very light colors. They're so light that on my super pale skin they don't show up very well (as you can see in my swatch pictures below).

Too Faced Cat Eyes Palette Swatches

The real reason go get this palette is the medium and dark shades. The light shades are well pigmented and great neutrals, though they just don't show up well on my skin in pictures. The purples are my favorites, though the neutral brown/bronze shades in the day set are also very pretty! The silvery-blue of Kitty Glitter is pretty but powdery. I recommend using it over a glitter primer such as Shadow Insurance Glitter Glue.

Lilac Every Day Eye Tutorial With Too Faced's Cat Eyes Palette

Product Sent for Review Affiliate Links I Bought It Myself

Too Faced Cat Eyes Palette Tutorial

Today for Makeup Wars we're trying something different. We'll all be tackling the new Too Faced Cat Eyes palette, creating looks and tutorials!

I decided to create a pretty quick and easy look using the palette. Just because it has the darker colors and is named Cat Eyes, doesn't mean you need to create such a dramatic look. I did this quickly one morning before spending the day with my family.

Eye Tutorial With Too Faced's Cat Eye Palette

I started with a pre-prepped eye area. I prepped with concealer and then Shadow Insurance, which makes everything stay put all day long!

I used a medium fluff brush to spread Meow all over my lid and up to my brow bone.

Eye Tutorial With Too Faced's Cat Eye Palette

Next I used a slightly smaller fluff to apply a light wash of Pussy Cat on to my lid up to (but not into or over) my crease. Because it was over Meow you only get a hint of lilac, alone it is more vibrant.

Eye Tutorial With Too Faced's Cat Eye Palette

Next I grabbed my black Perfect Eyes Eyeliner and lined my eyes in the lashes. I know it doesn't look remotely perfect (that's why I'm giving you 2 pics of it, look! It's messy!) The point really was to get the liner down into the base of my lashes, something that is hard to do with wet shadow. The line is a bit thicker at the outer corner than the inner corner.

Eye Tutorial With Too Faced's Cat Eye Palette

Next, using a wet brush (a stiff and angled eye liner brush for my upper lash line, a small detail brush for the lower 1/2 lash line), I grabbed a little of Jungle Love and a bit of Panther. Along the top line I traced over the eyeliner, making things more even. The lower lash line, I just placed a bit of the color at the lash line, though I used a bit too much water (see how it kind of smudges down?) and I had to clean it up a little with a q-tip. After the shadow was on the lower lash line I applied more of the black eye liner into the water line.

Eye Tutorial With Too Faced's Cat Eye Palette

Finally, I finished up the rest of the look! I filled in my brows with Bulletproof Brows, highlighted above and below my brows with Instant Attitude Brow Lift and applied Better than Sex Mascara.

Lilac Every Day Eye Tutorial

Everything used:
Shadow Insurance
Cat Eyes Palette
Perfect Eyes Eyeliner
Bulletproof Brows
Instant Attitude Brow Lift
Better than Sex Mascara
Sweethearts Blush in Something About Berry

Best Palette Update Ever: Too Faced's Natural Eyes Palette

Product Sent for Review

Too Faced Natural Eyes Shadow Palette

I've had the new (updated) Too Faced Natural Eyes Shadow Palette for a while now, so it is a bit embarrassing how long it has taken me to write about it and post swatch pictures. I could claim that I've been meaning to take pictures when I've used the shadows, but mostly I've just been happily using it and thinking that probably all of my readers have already purchased it. If you haven't bought this palette yet, you should. Even if you already have the old version (here's my review of the old Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette).

Too Faced new updated Natural Eyes Shadow Palette

Here you can see the old and new side by side. The first big difference is the packaging. I much prefer the newer palette. It isn't as deep (in the old, the extra depth was a drawer with useless brushes), and instead of being cardboard it is metal. This makes the palette much easier to travel with! As well, 3 of the shades have been replaced with completely new shades, and I think those new shades make repurchasing definitely worth it. The collection is now more wearable for every day, especially with the swapping out between Nude Beach (a pretty pink, but too glittery and powdery for every day) to the more neutral Nudie.

Too Faced Natural Eyes Shadow Palette swatch pictures

Too Faced has laid things out in trios, but obviously you can can mix and match as you want. As well, I love that the shades you're more likely to use frequently are larger, it's great to know you won't run out of the basic colors well before hitting pan on the more "fun" shades! My favorite look is Nudie over my entire lid, Honey Pot on the outer half of the lid and then Push Up or Erotica (depending on how dramatic I'm feeling) in my crease. I'll also use the crease color on my smudge brush when I smudge a little liner into my lash line. It's a slightly smoky look that still completely appropriate for work!

Too Faced's Melted Lipsticks: Is Super Pigmented For You?

Product Sent for Review

Too Faced Melted Lipstick Review and swatch

I'm a huge Too Faced fan. In my mind, they pretty much can do no wrong. Ever. If they make it, it will be amazing. Which is why it has taken me so long to write about their new Melted Lipsticks. I have had them for a while, and all of my blogging friends have been raving about them, but they weren't working for me.

I have finally come to the conclusion that it's just me, I'm not a fan of super pigmented lipsticks on my lips. I think they look a bit funny on me. On other people, they look amazing! I just need to work on getting used to them on myself.

I've "forced" friends to try these lippies too (ok, let's face it, there wasn't much forcing. Also, there were q-tips and sanitizing involved, so don't worry about cooties) and I thought they looked amazing in them and they loved them. I've convinced a few friends to go buy the shades (Melted Coral seems to be the favorite). I just think they look funny on my lips.

Too Faced Melted Lipstick Review and swatch

There are 8 shades of Melted Lipstick: Melted Nude, Melted Peony, Melted Coral, Melted Fuchsia, Melted Ruby and Melted Violet. The packaging is kind of perfect, you can squeeze the tube to get the liquid lipstick to come out of a felt tip top. I feel like this gives me a lot of control over how much product comes out. Definitely better than twisting or clicking!

Too Faced Melted Lipstick Review and swatch

You can see that the shades are all very, very pigmented. They are between a similar thickness to other liquid lipsticks, I don't really notice any flavor and they aren't sticky at all. They're super easy to apply, I just use the applicator directly. One of my favorite things about these lipsticks is that they can act like a stain as well, so I'll apply, leave it be for a few minutes, then wipe it off. I follow up with a light gloss, so I get the color and a bit of the translucency that I like. My favorite so far has been Melted Peony, but I'm looking for a good excuse to wear Melted Ruby. I might not need an excuse now that I think about it!

Are you like me, do you need a little translucency in your lippie? Or are you a super pigmented girl?

Too Faced's Little Black Book of Bronzers: Every Bronzer Girl's Dream Come True

Product Sent for Review

Too Faced's Little Black Book of Bronzers review

Have you seen this huge palette yet? Yes, that really is a palette. It's the size of a coffee table book. I took a pic next to this month's Allure just so you could see how large it really is.

Why is it so big? This book contains 8 full-sized bronzers from Too Faced. For realz.

Too Faced Little Black Book of Bronzers inside pictures

Inside the book there is a super cute cartoon about using each bronzer for different events/aspects of your life, and then all 8 bronzers are on the right side.

Too Faced bronzers

Here's a closer look at the bronzers (you should be able to right click and open that image in a new window to double the size. Same for the swatch pic below). I have to admit that I already own all of them.... yes. I have a lot of bronzers. My personal go-to bronzer is the Milk Chocolate, I think it works the best with my pale complexion. When I want a little shimmer I'll grab Pink Leopard or Snow Bunny and hit the areas that I want to highlight and that the sun hits (cheekbones, center of the face) and that little bit of shimmer is just enough.

Too Faced Bronzer swatch picture

The Little Black Book of Bronzers is coming out in May and you'll be able to buy it from Too Faced, ULTA and Sephora on-line (I don't think it will be in stores). It is very limited edition, so if you're a bronzer girl you need to snap one up! Too Faced is donating $1 for every bronzer sold in the United States during the month of May to the Melanoma Research Foundation, for a total of $30,000!

One of my favorite beauty tricks is a little concealer or highlighter right under my brow (and frequently, right over). Why? It seems to clean everything up, and while you won't notice if this step is skipped, it really does seem to make a difference!

Too Faced's Instant Attitude Brow Lift is what I've been using lately for this step in my routine. It's a soft matte vanilla tone, which works better on my pale winter skin than the lightest concealer I could find. It's super easy to use, I just draw it on immediately below and above my brow, then blend it quickly with a fingertip.

I'm about.... 10 days overdo for a brow appointment (have no fear, it is scheduled for Friday), so you can be sure this is the one step I'm sure to include every day!

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette Review and Swatches

You may have heard about the new Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Palette from Too Faced, though in my opinion this palette hasn't gotten enough hype. Because, it. is. amazing.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette Review

Oh, so true. Whenever I open this palette, I get a huge whiff of chocolate (note, I think mine might be a bit stronger smelling than others, my friend Kelly says that she can't smell it much, her Chocolate Bar Review just went up today as well). It's worth buying this palette just to get the smell of the chocolate every morning!

The reason it smells so amazing? There's chocolate in the shadows. It turns out there are a lot of skin care benefits with cocoa powder (check out my post explaining how cocoa powder helps your skin), and Too Faced Co-Founder and Creative Director Jerrod Blandino was inspired to add cocoa powder to makeup while having a chocolate facial and learning about the benefits of cocoa at a Hawaiian spa. Now, you'll find Cocoa Powder in Too Faced's Chocolate Soliel Bronzers (my favorite is their Milk Chocolate Soliel Bronzer) and the Chocolate Bar Palette.

While I do have quite a few neutral palettes, I think that this palette is my favorite for its versatility. There are a lot of colors that work well together, but they aren't all in the exact same family. So, with the same palette it is easier to create a lot of different looks. I recently took it on a trip (yes, only 3 days), and I swear I'm a freak that usually needs a shadow palette per day while out of town. I don't do well without a lot of options. For this trip I brought only the Chocolate Bar, and there were enough options to keep even me happy, so you know there must be a lot of options!

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette Swatches
1. Gilded Ganache
2. Salted Caramel
3. Hazelnut
4. White Chocolate
5. Marzipan
6. Creme Brule
7. Semi-Sweet
8. Haute Chocolate

9. Milk Chocolate
10. Strawberry Bon Bon
11. Cherry Cordial
12. Black Forest Truffle
13. Candied Violet
14. Champagne Truffle
15. Triple Fudge
16. Amaretto

Like all Too Faced Shadow Palettes, these shadows are well pigmented and apply really easily. They aren't super powdery, they blend great and last me all day without fading, creasing or other issues. (Note, I always use a shadow primer, my favorite is Too Faced's Shadow Insurance.)

My favorite looks so far with this palette are:
1. Marzipan over the inner half of my mobile lid, Creme Brule over the outer half of the lid. Hazelnut in my crease and outer V, then Brown Too Faced Perfect Eye Eyeliner smudged into my lashes with a little Gilded Ganache over the liner. Finish with a ton of Better than Sex mascara!

2. Champagne Truffle over my entire mobile lid, Milk Chocolate in the crease, Black Too Faced Perfect Eye Eyeliner smudged into my lashes with a little Black Forest Truffle smudged into the liner. Again, finish with a ton of Better than Sex mascara!

Which shadows would you pair together? Have you tried this palette yet?

Too Faced Bulletproof Brows Review

Too Faced Bullet proof Brows Review

I'm usually a brow pencil girl, but I'm more than willing to branch out for a good product! I want defined brows that are still natural, last all day and applies quickly and easily. No fuss! If there's fuss I know I'll be reaching for another product.

So, it speaks volumes that for the last few weeks I've been reaching for this product every. single. day. Seriously.

Inside that little round pot is a really great product. It's like a gel, but has a matte finish and also holds your brows in place like a wax. It applies really easily, use the angled side of the brush to stipple product into the areas that need it, and then run the spoolie brush end over the brow to blend.

I do think it takes a little getting used to applying, it is easy to over do it and end up with brows that are anything but natural looking. I think if you start with a light application and slowly work your way up with more product you'll be fine!

Too Faced Bulletproof Brows Universal Brunette Swatch

It comes in 2 shades, I've been using the Universal Brunette, which is just right for my hair color. Any darker would be too harsh. Like other good brow shades, it is a tad ashy.

I'm pretty sure I've found a new favorite brow product. What are you using on your brows right now?

Too Cute: Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush Review and Swatches

Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush Swatch Pictures and Review

Too Faced recently added 2 new shades to their Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush, and really, these blushes are so incredibly pretty! And yes, I'm definitely a sucker for their heart shapes.

These blushes are baked, so they are very hard pressed powders. Each blush has 3 different colors swatches, and while I'm sure you could use them individually, I do think it is just easier to blend all three together.

I always think that blushes are the hardest to represent on my blog, I've swatched them here on my arm but I can't get the differences to show up really in pictures of me wearing the blushes. The colors are just super pretty with a subtle shimmer. The color is buildable, so if you want more color then just add more. I've found that they last all day easily, which is something that I love.

Now the only problem is deciding if it is a berry or a peach day!
