Lippie Love: Revlon Super Lustrous Gloss in Pink Crystal

This gloss comes in pot and looks somewhat neon/scary in the package. But on the lip it is just a faint color with a small amount of shimmer (which I couldn't get to pick up, but it is very subtle). The gloss isn't sticky and it takes like a jolly rancher.

I was disappointed in this pink. It took 4 thick coats to reach opaque and it took forever to dry properly. You can see that I have marks in the finish from sheets. I did my mani in the afternoon, those are from bed that night!

Trish McEvoy N° 3 Snowdrop & Crystal Flowers

Trish McEvoy N° 3 Snowdrop & Crystal Flowers, review, fragrance, perfume, parfum
I have to admit that I was very surprised by this fragrance. Partially because I went straight from testing out Black Rose Oud to this scent. When I hear "snow" in the name of a scent all I can think is "powder". I expected this scent to be a big powder-fest. Thank goodness, there's not a hint of powder!

Notes:
Top Notes: Lychee water, sparkling berry, clementine blossoms
Middle Notes: Sheer freesia, pink peony, jasmine mist
Base Notes: Sensual Musk, teakwood, whipped vanilla

The scent smelled the same on me the entire time I wore it, there was no dry down. The scent is definitely mostly a white floral with the freesia and peony predominating on me, but the sparkling berry and lychee are there to keep everything fresh and there is just a tiny bit of the musk in the background.

This scent is delicate and somewhat demure. A white floral scent that isn't too floral, I found that it still felt fresh and green but at the same time understated and elegant. I imagine this is the scent that a fashion elite would wear in the spring time with their floral dress (because really, isn't every spring "the" year for floral?) to feel season appropriate but not like a granny.

The staying power of this fragrance is pretty amazing. While it does fade somewhat throughout the day, I can still smell it on myself at bedtime, about 14 hours later.

Johnson's Baby Challenge Week #4

Well, my 4 week trial of using Johnson's Baby products is coming to a close, so it's time to share my final thoughts. Overall, I'm glad that I did this trial. I found a new way to keep my cuticles well hydrated (Gel Baby Oil is going to become a new winter staple for me), and a great product to help me swatch makeup colors to my heart's content without needing to scrub my arm or lips off in between color changes (that's the Baby Oil). And I learned to embrace Mineral Oil in my skin care.

I have to confess that in my shower, when I ran out of the Body Wash last week, rather than taking out my backup bottle of Johnson's Baby Body Wash, I was really missing my usual Olay and so I just went back to using my Olay. My skin missed it, I'm not sure what makes it so different but really it is.

But, on a recent quick trip to my local big box store, I did grab a few more tubes of Creamy Oil Cocoa & Shea Butter. I've long been devoted to my Cetaphil cream, but I confess that it didn't seem to really cut it in the moisture department in the dead of winter. The Creamy Oil seems to a better job of sealing in the moisture my skin picks up in the shower and I'll be slathering myself with this stuff all winter long!

Have you tried any baby products on your own skin? What did you think?
