MAC Wonder Woman Blushes
Saturday, February 12, 2011I have to admit that a big box of MAC Wonder Woman arrived at my home almost 2 weeks ago and I completely ignored it until a few days ago. Ok, I may have had a reason to be distracted (it arrived right after I got home from the hospital with my new daughter), but now that I've actually opened the box and played with the colors I have to admit that I'm impressed. The collection is much more wearable than one would expect.
As well, I love the WW inspired packaging. Where MAC used to just slap on a Hello Kitty sticker and call it done, they've gone above and beyond with this packaging! The compacts above are a great example. The compact is definitely inspired by WW and it is well thought out, the compact clicks closed which I love and who can resist the gold band around the outside?
Read on to see what I thought of the blushes.
The blushes are actually quite a bit larger than "normal" MAC blushes, and I think that you could likely use one of these every day for a few years without hitting pan. I love that there are 2 colors in each pan, which is great for semi-customizing your look.
Both blushes are fairly translucent (I've used a very heavy hand to swatch them) and you can see that the colors are flattering to my pale, cool skin. I do think the colors are somewhat universal. Mighty Aphrodite is my personal favorite, though I do think they are both great colors to pick up.

These blushes are definitely on my radar, but I need to get out and play with them first (and the rest of the collection) before I decide.
ReplyDeleteI agree about the packaging- it has certainly done its job and made we want to stop and check out the line. The pop-up displays are pretty awesome too.
ReplyDeleteThey look pretty on you, but do you think they will even show up on my olive skin? I might have to go try them in the store, then see them out in the sun first.
