As soon as the weather gets a little cooler, I want alllll the dark nail polishes! I tend to reach for dark reds and purples the most, but I also have a lot of browns and metallics that I'll use as well. And yes, I do have all of these shades, except for that sequin one from Alexa. It's been hanging out in my Nordstrom cart for the longest time while I covet it. I'm still including it, I need to just buy it!

My Favorite Pedicure Colors

It's pedicure season again, and while I've had the best of intentions, I fully admit that this weekend I took off my chipping nail polish (it had been on for about 4 weeks) and haven't had a chance to put on more. Today is the day, my friends. So, it was especially appropriate that the nice people over at Martha Stewart sent me pics of June's beauty article, and it was all about pedicures and colors and great pedi tips!

(I'm not sure how they discovered me and started sending me the articles, but I'm always inspired by Martha, so I'm going to keep sharing!)

One product mentioned in the article is Baby Foot's Foot Exfoliate Peel, which kind of looks amazing. Has anyone tried it? I need to order it!

I fully admit that I've fallen a little bit off of the nail polish wagon this summer. Things have been crazy hectic for me, and my large polish collection (and my cuticles) have been sorely neglected! I'm finding inspiration in the colors that OPI is releasing for Fall/Winter. This collection is coming out on August 8th!

I find that the DS shades can sometimes be hard to find in stock (especially around me, is there some sort of extra glitter fetish in Ann Arbor that I don't know about?), but they're well worth the hunt! Perfect for a pretty accent nail or an entire blingy mani.
DS042: DS Indulgence, a radiant red-violet with a shimmering, golden finish.
DS043: DS Luxurious, a captivating coral-red with a golden glisten.



Finally, I know that I'm not alone in my love of Nicole, especially when they run store exclusive shades. They've had Walmart and Target exclusives before, and they are usually a bit more fashion forward and really just... fun?

Nicole Look at Me, Look at Me

Yes, lots of little tiny glitter! It's not really normal glitter, it almost acts like a foil, but not quite. It's hard to explain.

I love that there are quite a few colors involved in the polish rather than just a flat silver/grey color. This is 2 coats and it is really opaque. While it was a little harder to take off than a normal polish I thought it was easier than a typical glitter.

OPI's Honk if You Love OPI

This is a great purple, though similar to OPI's LPAD and LPAM, it is so dark purple that in many lights it looks black.

2 coats to opaque.

OPI Pirouette My Whistle Swatch

This glitter is in a clear base once dry and it is amazing for layering. My favorite is definitely over My Pointe Exactly, though it works over a lot of different colors. All of these pics are just 1 layer of Pirouette My Whistle.

Nicole by OPI Kim-Pletely in Love Swatch

I think this polish would be better for layering over a similar pink creme, it took me 4 coats to reach this opacity, which is pretty much my limit. In person I still has some less than opaque areas.

I love the shimmer in this one. It's unexpected in what should be a boring pale pink creme.

This is an interesting color. Red, pink and orange at the same time, especially in different lighting. There is some same color glass flecked shimmer as well.

OPI Designer de Better Nail Polish

Obviously this polish is an ode to Miss Piggy. It is soooo pretty in real life! This pic can't really do the polish justice. It is a very pretty light pink/champagne color, has a foil finish and there are added bits of darker pink and green sparkle that don't change the overall color but do add depth to the finish. For me, this was like wearing a blingy nude shade.

3 thin coats to opaque.

OPI Meep Meep Meep Swatch and Review

Meep Meep Meep was definitely the shade I was most excited to try out from the new OPI Muppet collection. I'm a big sucker for hot pinks, especially if you throw in some glitter! I was not disappointed. Love this!

Nicole's Kardashian Nail Polish: Follow Me on Glitter Swatch and Review

Say what you will about Kim Kardashian's recent marriage**... the family's recent nail polish collection with Nicole by OPI is amazing.

I think Follow Me on Glitter is a must buy. It is amazing. Amazing. It has a dark grey/black base with dark grey glitter and then occasional colored glitter. I wore it to work and everyone went crazy for it! It is a dark vampy shade without being black or too much glitter.

This was 3 thin coats to opaque.

**I know it will come up in the comments, but I just want to say that I think Kim Kardashian is very media savvy. I can't imagine that she would plan to have such a short marriage on purpose. Also, how many hours was Britney's first marriage? 55 hours. At least Kim made it longer than a few months.

OPI: Warm and Fozzie Swatch

Are you as excited as I am about the new Muppets movie and the related products?

Warm and Fozzie wasn't on my list of "must have" Muppet colors (I was a big sucker for the shiny pinks), but OMG.... this is amazing. I wore it to work and the number of compliments was insane. It apparently sold out at my local salon within just a few hours. I can see why.

OPI My Address is Hollywood

I was disappointed in this pink. It took 4 thick coats to reach opaque and it took forever to dry properly. You can see that I have marks in the finish from sheets. I did my mani in the afternoon, those are from bed that night!
